Description:We report 1-year follow-up data from a longitudinal prospective cohort study of patients with West Nile virus-associated paralysis. As in the 4-month follow-up, a variety of recovery patterns were observed, but persistent weakness was frequent. Respiratory involvement was associated with considerable illness and death.
