Description:This report is for workers in youth-related organisations who are interested in adopting strategies to prevent child sexual abuse. It outlines six key components of child sexual abuse prevention within organisations: screening and selecting employees and volunteers; guidelines on interactions between individuals; monitoring behaviour; ensuring safe environments; responding to inappropriate behaviour, breaches in policy, and allegations and suspicions of child sexual abuse; and training. The report describes policies and strategies for each component, discusses potential challenges and barriers and ways these can be overcome, and includes planning tools.
