  S T R A T E G I C F O C U S ; The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) office in Kyiv, Ukraine was formally established in August 2010. CDC develops the capacity of government and non-government organizations in Ukraine to respond to the HIV epidemic by providing technical assistance to partners for developing in-country capacity and to assist in reaching 90-90-90 targets. Its strategic focus includes: ; • Advancing the availability, quality, and use of surveillance and program monitoring data for data-driven programming; ; • Strengthening the capacity of the national public health center to lead the HIV epidemic response; ; • Strengthening HIV national reference laboratory and laboratory network, especially in quality management systems; ; • Enhancing HIV testing by introducing a new testing strategy; ; • Increasing antiretroviral treatment (ART) uptake, improving retention, and increasing the number of people who are virally suppressed; and ; • Implementing information systems for management of care for persons living with HIV.
