Description:Air sampling for asbestos (1332214) was conducted at Raybestos- Manhatton, Textile Products (SIC-3292) in Manheim, Pennsylvania, in August, 1964. Sampling was performed with an impinger and a membrane filter. Impinger breathing zone samples ranged from unmeasurable to 3.7 million particles per cubic foot (mppcf) for one card tender. Impinger general air samples ranged from 0.1 to 4.1mppcf. Breathing zone membrane filter air samples with fibers greater than 10 microns in length per cubic centimeter (f/cc), ranged from unmeasurable to 14.6f/cc. Personal air samples asbestos concentrations ranged from unmeasurable to 5.6f/cc.
