  Worker exposures to asbestos (1332214) were surveyed in June, 1967, at the Johns-Manville Corporation (SIC-3292) Long Beach and Stockton facilities in California. Numerous impinger and membrane filter samples were collected from the Long Beach insulation and asbestos cement pipe factories and from the Stockton pipe factory. One sample from each site exceeded the threshold limit value of 5 million particles per cubic foot (mppcf) measured by the impinger method. Two samples from Stockton, 11 from the Long Beach pipe factory and 7 from the insulation factory exceeded the proposed standard of 2mppcf.
