Description:This report provides national estimates on the discharge status of patients discharged from non-Federal short-stay hos¬pitals from 1965 through 1981. For this report discharge status is defined at two levels: alive and dead. The frequency and percent distribution of patients discharged alive and dead are provided for each year from 1965 through 1981 (with “not stated” data also included); while other trend data are presented for the years 1965, 1970, 1975, and 1981 (with “not stated” data excluded).
