Description:According to data collected for the National Reporting System for Family Planning Services by the National Center for Health Statistics, an estimated 7,425,000 medical family planning visits by females were made to nonmilitary family planning service sites in the United States. Excluded from the scope of the National Reporting System for Family Planning Services are family planning visits that were made to private physicians. Of these visits, 38.1 percent were made by females 20-24 years of age.
