The NAMCS is a continuing sample survey conducted annually by the Division of Health Resources Utilization Statistics of the National Center for Health Statistics. The survey-national in range except for Alaska and Hawaii- is designed to explore the provision and utilization of ambulatory care in the offices of non-Federal, office-based physicians.
