Description:The height and weight measurements obtained as a part of the Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (HANES) conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics April 1971 through June 1974 were used to present height and weight findings among men and women aged 18-74 years in the United States.
HANES is a program in which measures of nutritional status are collected for a scientifically designed sampIe representative of the civilian noninstitutionalized population of the United States in a broad range of ages.
