  FOURTH QUARTER 1964 ; Forty-six reporting centers are now participating in the Shigella Surveillance Program. These include 43 states as well as New York City, the District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands. We welcome the participation of 21 new centers, data from which is reported here for the first time. These are: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, the District of Columbia, New York City, and the Virgin Islands.
