Description:This report is one of two special reports examining knowledge and attitudes about acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) among minoritysubgroups of the U.S. population. Based on data collected in the National Health Intewiew Survey (NHIS), the report descriies various aspects of AIDS-related knowledge, attitudes, and behavior for black adults 18 years of age and over. It presents differentials by age, sex, and education for the black population and compares selected measures for black and white individuals.
