Description:This historic 1963 view, depicts the front of what was once the main entrance to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), otherwise known as Building 1, located on Clifton Road, in Atlanta, Georgia. Building 1 no longer exists, and has been replaced by more modernized facilities. At that time the modern day CDC was known as the Communicable Disease Center, from 1946 until 1967.
