  CDC/DGHT provides HIV/AIDS and TB support to the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Mali, specifically laboratory, surveillance, and TB/HIV integration at the national and policy level. CDC is the principal external partner and the only agency providing technical assistance on HIV/AIDS surveillance and laboratory, and technical assistance to improve HIV/TB integration. CDC and partners’ core and foundational activities complement national efforts on prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (PMTCT), early infant diagnosis (EID), laboratory capacity building, laboratory testing, laboratory quality control, national health policy development, HIV/STI prevention and care for key and vulnerable populations, and TB control.
