  Lavicidal operations continued to be the main function of MCWA in August, with 241,399 gallons of oil and 23,456 pounds of paris green being used to treat 30,041 acres of breeding surfaces. Considerable minor drainage and clearing was also done, as is shown in Table 1. Airplane dusting was carried on in six areas, and two such projects were dropped during the month due to reduction of breeding by natural causes.
