  This report presents selected estimates for 1982 of diagnosis-related groups (DRG) based on data from the National Hospital Discharge Survey (NHDS). A similar report as been published for 1981. The current plan is to publish reports on DRGs regularly because they determine the reimbarsement rates of Medicare inpatients, about 30 percent of all discharges from shofi-stay non-Federal hospitals.
