Description:Verification testing of the Brinell Hardness Tester and testing of aluminum (7429905) bars for Brinell Hardness was performed by NIOSH Testing and Certification Branch, Safety Equipment Section. Equipment, calibration, precautions, preparation, and indentation diameter test, annealing, and performance tests were evaluated. The author concludes this method is useful for industrial safety helmet design. [Description provided by NIOSH]
