Description:Test results using the NIOSH analytical method S322 for chlorine (7782505) are reported. The method involved collection in a bubbler with a native or olefinic coated sorbent with styrene or cis- stilbene as reactant, desorption with organic solvent, separation by gas chromatography, and analysis by an electrolytic conductivity detector in the chlorine mode. Chromatographic operating conditions and recovery results using various sorbent coating compounds and solvents are included. The method was unsatisfactory due to poor chlorine recoveries and poor reproducibility. [Description provided by NIOSH]
