Description:A certification test procedure is described for measuring exhalation valve leakage on respirators. The equipment and method are described by which dry exhalation valves and valve seats are subjected to a suction of 25 millimeters of water. Leakage is measured with a bubble meter and must not exceed 30 milliliters per minute. [Description provided by NIOSH]
