Description:This issue of the UDC Surveillance Report is a special report that focuses on data collected from children under two years of age (babies) who have been enrolled through September 2005. Data collection on this group began its pilot phase in April 2003. The data collected on these initial 38 babies is included in this report. The pilot phase ran throughApril2004. Official enrollment of babies into UDC began in May 2004 and continues. In this report, data on enrollment and visits (Tables 1 and 2, Figure 1) include all babies seen through September 2005. However, all subsequent tables and graphs describe the hemophilia population only.
Since April, 2003, 220 babies with bleeding disorders have been enrolled and there have been 229 UDC visits.
