Description:This report is one of a series of special Bureau of Mines studies done to appraise the mineral potential of lands in Alaska. The area described, in excess of 7 million acres, includes Mt. McKinley National Park and proposed extensions on all sides. The mineral deposits and trends in the study area and in adjacent lands were previously examined and explored, and many data were acquired from other firms. Field investigations within the present park boundaries were not permitted. [Description provided by NIOSH]
