Description:The risk of work-related motor vehicle crashes cuts across all industries and occupations. Between 2003 and 2008, workers employed by truck transportation companies had the highest risk of work-related fatality due to vehicle crashes while driving or riding in a motor vehicle on a public roadway. This article discusses how ANSI/ASSE Z15.1-2012 provides comprehensive guidance on fleet safety program elements and can be used as a foundation for auditing an existing program.
