Description:The construction of a laboratory for study of the effects of metallic element exposure on small mammals is described. Absolute exposure control is obtained by careful attention to structural materials, air filtration, and purification of animal diets. Data on temperature, humidity, light intensity, noise intensity, and on the metal content of air, feed, water, and cage materials were presented. [Description provided by NIOSH]
