Description:Chromium-amino acid conjugates were isolated from systems initially containing either potassium dichromate and amino acid or chromic nitrate and amino acid. The elicitating properties of these chromium-amino acid conjugates were evaluated by intradermal injection of guinea pigs sensitized to chromium. Positive results were obtained with several conjugates. The conjugates prepared from chromic nitrate and ammo acid were stronger elicitors than those prepared from potassium dichromate and amino acid. Description provided by NIOSH
