• Description:
  An ongoing county based control study of brain tumors at the Texas division of Dow Chemical (SIC-286) is presented. The progress of the sample based cohort mortality study and future plans to identify specific risk factors are described. Preliminary estimates of risk are made based on Brazoria County death certificates. Major results are summarized including an elevated risk of death due to brain tumors among Dow workers. Protocols for additional studies are outlined in order to make more definitive estimates of risk with identification of risk factors. [Description provided by NIOSH]
