  Six tests were evaluated to determine the reproducibility of test results either by inter-laboratory or intra-laboratory tests of the "round robin" type. In four of the tests, a degree of subjectivity in making the determinations led to significant differences in the results and rewriting of the test specifications was required to remove, insofar as possible, the subjectivity in the measurements. One test method was completely rewritten in order to eliminate ambiguities which caused technicians to fail to understand the test sequence. A test method and apparatus was developed for a ballistic impact test for full facepiece respirators. Two Appendices give the test methods in their proposed final form (Appendix A) and the description and design modifications for the ballistic impact apparatus (Appendix B).
