Description:Worker exposures to asbestos (1332214) were surveyed at the National Gypsum Company (SIC-3275) in New Orleans, Louisiana, in March, 1967. Air sampling was conducted using the impinger and membrane filter methods. Breathing zone samples taken with the impinger ranged from impinger samples ranged from 0.3 to 5.4mppcf. Breathing zone samples taken with a membrane filter ranged from unmeasureable to 61.4 fibers greater than 5 microns in length per cubic centimeter (f/cc). Personal membrane filter samples ranged from 0.1 to 28.0f/cc.
