Description:Workers exposures to asbestos (1332214) were surveyed at Raybestos Manhattan (SIC-3292) in Marshville, North Carolina, in June, 1971. Asbestos fiber concentrations in the fiber preparation, carding, spinning, twisting, winding, weaving, finishing, miscellaneous, and rope, wick, and cord areas were 3.1 to 10.8, 1.2 to 29.5, 0.9, 1.6 to 27.1, 0.6 to 8.1, 0.2 to 10.8, 0.5 to 26.9, 0.3 to 18.5 and 6.4 fibers greater than 5 microns in length per cubic centimeter, respectively.
