Description:The evaluation of air flow systems is discussed, with information on practical approaches to system evaluation, using up-to-date instrumentation and techniques. The bases for system evaluation are stated. Evaluation may be visual using visible smoke or fumes, or instrumental using anemometers, pitot tubes, manometers, aneroid gauges or transducers. Use of these instruments within the system is described. Calibration of the instruments is considered. The design of systems, their operating performance, and maintenance and survey frequency are discussed.
