  An overview of arsenic (7440382) exposure in the United States copper (7440508) smelting industry is presented, including measurements of airborne concentrations, respirability, and urinary excretion levels. Areas of high exposure are identified, and exposure of copper smelter workers is compared to exposure of users and manufacturers of pesticides. Problems encountered in collecting arsenic data and evaluating human exposure are also discussed.
