Ways in which the part-time occupational physician can intertwine the roles of clinician-epidemiologist are discussed under the areas of the environmental work setting, risk factors of the industrial population, mass health education programs, screening for early detection of disease, epidemiologic studies, evaluation of ongoing programs and the health record systems.
