Description:Recognizing the high prevalence of OA and its rising health impact and economic consequences, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Arthritis Foundation (AF) collaborated with other partners on A National Public Health Agenda for Osteoarthritis, 2010. The primary audience included both the public and private sectors: federal, state, and local governments and policy makers; business and industry, nonprofit organizations, foundations, and associations; insurers and health care providers; and patient advocacy and community organizations. To coordinate implementation of A National Public Health Agenda for Osteoarthritis, CDC and AF established the OA Action Alliance (OAAA), a coalition of organizations concerned about OA.
