Description:During the 12-month period from January 1994 through December 1994, an estimated 681.5 million visits were made to nonfederally employed, office-based physicians in the United States, a rate of 2.6 visits per person. This rate is not significantly different from the 1993 visit rate of 2.8 visits per person, Annual visit rates have ranged between 2.6 and 3.0 visits per person between 1975 and 1994 (l-6).
