The Public Health Service Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices has in the last 5 years made recommendations concerning the use of vaccines and other biologics in the prevention of 16 diseases. Each statement by the ACIP is regularly published in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report upon completion or revision.
The full series of recommendations has never been printed as a single document. However, it was felt that a supplement to the MMWR incorporating all of the existing ACIP recommendations would be a useful reference.
