Description:The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) evaluates community exposures and makes recommendations to prevent harmful exposures to hazardous substances in the environment. This report evaluates potential exposures to people who played or lived near Coldwater Creek in North St. Louis County, Missouri. Historical radiological waste storage sites near the St. Louis Airport released contamination into Coldwater Creek. The Army Corps of Engineers’ Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) has been characterizing and cleaning up areas related to these sites since 1998.
