Description:This Quick Start Action Guide is designed for those who already have a basic understanding of the early care and education (ECE) system from a federal and state perspective. It presents an overview of CDC’s ‘Spectrum of Opportunities’ framework (2.0 version, see figure) and a set of action steps to plan new, or strengthen existing, state-level efforts to promote healthy eating, physical activity, breastfeeding, and reduced screen time among young children in the ECE setting. Worksheets are included for each action step.
