This report presents alternative strategies for analysis of data from the NHANES i Epidemiologic Follow-up Study (NHEFS) using Cox proportional hazards and person-time logistic regression models. Analytic issues related to the complex survey design of the NHANES i and the variable length of follow-up of NHEFS participants are discussed.
