Description:Based on data collected from a national sample of office-based physicians, statistics are presented on the provision and utilization of ambulatory medical care services in physicians’ offices during 1989. Ambulatory medical care services are described in terms of patient characteristics, physician practice characteristics, and visit characteristics. A summary of trends in office-based ambulatory medical care from 1975-89 is included.
