    In April 1971, 1499 isolations of salmonellae were reported from humans, an average of 375 isolations per week (Tables I, II, and V-A). This number represents a decrease of 4 (1.1 percent) from the weekly average of March 1971 and an increase of 29 (8.4 percent) over the weekly average of April 1970.

    Reports of 730 nonhuman isolations of salmonellae were received during April 1971 (Tables II, IV, and V-B).
