Description:This report summarizes the results of the second year (December 28, 1963 - January 1, 1965) of the Salmonella Surveillance program jointly established by the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) and the Association of State and Territorial Epidemiologists and Laboratory Directors. The bulwark of the program is the weekly reporting of isolations of salmonellae submitted by all fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Salmonella Reference Center-Beth Israel Hospital, New York City, and the National Animal Disease Laboratory in Ames, Iowa.
