The health of people is connected to the health of animals and the environment. This connection requires a multisectoral, One Health approach to improve health for all.

Avian Influenza: Since 2003, the World Health Organization reported 854 human cases of avian influenza A (H5N1) virus and 450 deaths.

Rift Valley Fever: Rift Valley Fever can cause permanent blindness in about 1% - 10% of patients.

Safer Food: Over 100 countries have reported using the World Health Organization’s Five Keys to Safer Food, which helps prevent food poisoning around the world.
