Description:With funding assistance from the U.S. Fire Administration and in partnership with the National Cancer Institute, we embarked on a new study of fire fighters. Our goal is to better understand whether fire fighters have a higher risk of cancer and other illnesses due to job exposure. Because this is a long- term study with complicated analyses, we plan to keep you apprised of our progress through this annual newsletter.
