Description:This document describes the use of an IgM antibody capture enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (MAC-ELISA) for the presumptive detection of antibodies to Zika virus in persons meeting Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) clinical and/or epidemiological criteria for Zika virus testing.
This test is only intended for use as described in the CDC Zika diagnostic testing guidance and under the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). Please refer to the CDC website for current laboratory guidance: http://www.cdc.gov/zika/state-labs/index.html
