Description:"The number of deaths from influenza and pneumonia reported by 58 cities for the week ended March 15 was 383 as compared with 352 for the previous week. The numbers reported by geographical areas, with figures for the previous week in parentheses, were: New England, 32 (23); Middle Atlantic. 145 (109); East North Central, 68 (64); West North Central, 32 (27); South Atlantic, 38 (38); East South Central, 17 (16}; West South Central, 22 (29); Mountain, 7 (7); and Pacific, 22 (39). Most of the increase in the New England group was due to an increase in Worcester, Massachusetts, of 8 cases from the week ended March 8 to March 15, Increases In Albany, Newark, and Philadelphia accounted for the increase in the Middle Atlantic group." - p. 1
