Description:"The incidence of measles was slightly higher for the current week as compared with the previous week. Forty-three percent of those reported for the current week were in 3 States with large populations, namely, Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania. The number of cases of infectious hepatitis was somewhat lower than the previous week. relatlveil large numbers were reported in Alabama (122). Tennessee (60), and Georgia (42). Figures for the previous week for these States were 92, 54, and 47, respectively. The numbers of reported cases of meningococcal infections and of scarlet fever and streptococcal sore throat for the current week were higher than for the same week last year. Cumulative totals for the first 4 weeks of 1962 were 467 for meningococcal infections and 8,788 for scarlet fever and streptococcal sore throat. For the same period In 1951, the cumulative totals for these Diseases were 419 and 8,052, respectively." - p. 1
