Healthcare facilities across the region will be able to electronically transfer both antibiotic resistance data from laboratories and antibiotic prescribing data from hospital pharmacies to CDC’s NHSN [National Healthcare Safety Network] to improve physician, pharmacy, and laboratory decision making
These data will allow CDC to provide benchmark antibiotic use and resistance at the local, state and national level, plus healthcare facilities will benefit greatly.
