Description:Objective: Based on the known range of Anopheles albimanus at elevations below 500 m, to estimate the potentially exposed population in Haiti.
Methods: Elevation data (DEM ASTER) was combined with population data at the section level (IHSI 2009 projections) and with locations of communal capitals and other villages (MINUSTAH) to estimate the number of people within specific elevation intervals.
