Description:In this study, a single hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA at 2-6 months was sensitive and specific (86.7% and 95% confidence interval CI, 62.1%-96.3% and 100% and 95% CI, 98.8%-100%, respectively) in identifying perinatal transmission of HCV. No cases of perinatal infection requiring treatment were missed.
