Corporate Authors:

Description:US children attend school for at least 6 hours a day and are exposed to multiple opportunities to make decisions that affect their health during this time. Schools can use the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model to create environments that help students make healthy choices. A healthy school nutrition environment makes it easier for students to make healthy choices by giving them access to nutritious and appealing foods and beverages, consistent and accurate messages about good nutrition, and ways to learn about and practice healthy eating.
