This grant funded Access Sensor Technologies to greatly advance our Ultrasonic Personal Air Sampler (UPAS) - a sampler which allows assessment of the human exposures to airborne particulate matter (PM). This work allows people studying exposures from the perspectives of exposure science, environmental epidemiology, public health, environmental health, and occupational hygiene/health - to gain much better understandings of the how, why, where, and when of aerosol exposure. This grant has funded expansion of the aerosol size selective inlets we offer, allowed us to develop practical integrations of optical PM, gas, motion, light and other future sensors - into this compact, easy to use and ergonomically-friendly wearable device.
