  Vibration and occupational health and safety are reviewed. The review consists of a bibliography dealing with the health and safety of workers subjected to industrial vibrations in 20 countries: Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Czechoslovakia, England, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Poland, Rumania, the Soviet Union, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States, and Yugoslavia. A total of 561 references is presented by title and abstract (when available). Each reference is classified into these major categories: type of vibration, physical measurements or characteristics of the vibration, the sources of the vibration, the industry being investigated, morbidity information, biological changes attributed to the vibration as assessed by disease, study of a biological system or diagnostic methods, performance described, preventive measures taken, additional bibliographic reference sources if any are cited, title only if no abstract is given, and meetings and symposia if the work was presented as part of a meeting or symposium. Each major category is subdivided into subcategories, such as by specific vibration type or occupation within an industry. Brief abstracts of ongoing foreign and domestic studies are also included.
